I've been informed by a member of a race team that when you mix ultra and regula unleaded petrol [50:50 mix] it gives you 104 Octane.

I'm not sure but he swears by it and its a professional race team.

Your thoughts?

shell super unleaded and mobile super unleaded have 2% methanol in the mix as well..no seriously !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and if you run methanol(which is a slow burning but cool burning fuel) you can speed up the flame rate by adding nail varnish remover(acetone).. we used to do it with fuel in the 80's in the drag bikes before we were banned from chemistry fuels...

by the way 50:50 of 95 and 98 octane gives you???????????????????? 96.5....
