You're Favourite Mod !

No........not the Roger Daltry types but for all the newbie builders on here how about the gurus giving us a heads up on their best build mod's, money savers, performance, safety enhancement or whatever and briefly why?
I know Stig and many others have excellent build sites with tons of info to follow... but just off the cuff 'that was the best build mod I ever did' type of thing.
Lots of differing views I'm sure........................

ive always wanted to put a helecopter turbine engine in a quad bike...

imagine a jet engined quad sitting in the garage being warned up at 10am on a sunday morning whilst others mow their lawns......hahahhahahahahha

Pinto Ultima.....................way before my time !

Batman turntable.........very nice.........chassis will look 'just dandy' sat on there.......... I just can't imagine rivetting the footwell atrea wearing the complimentary Batman outfit you get with the turntable. Def a job for Rodders!

I take it you are talking Ultima Mods?

If so, in this order:

1b) Kumho V70 Medium compound tyres - amazing grip and good price.
2) Quaife ATB - Beautiful smooth delivery, allows traction to be broken and regained with minimum of fuss.
3) Springs to Top Gear spec - loose the roll and your fillings in one mod.
4) Dry Sump - obvious
5) Carbon Dymags - cos £4.5K never looked so nice
1a) Going back to the std G50 03 Ratios....ooohh the power band!!!


Worst Mod:

1) Changing your gear ratios without doing your research.

My favorite mod is Chris Huntington's quadruple turbo, double supercharged, nitrous sucking, big block 1,000,000 HP monster motor of his dreams.

1. Carbon fiber side sills
2. Autronic EFI (+rest of engine)
3. Anti sway bars
4. Anti gold fish
5. Kumho "R" tires
6. Performancefriction 355 disks with blue(!) Pagids

A long plastic cord (similar to a telephone cord) attached one end to the seat belt strap, the other (with a clip) to the back of my baseball caps. Result - I still end up wearing the same cap I did each time I drive my Ultima!

Total cost - £1.50p, saving : About 50 caps at £10 each!

As you may or may not know, my car must be one of the most heavily modified out there and I am more than happy with every one of the alterations but beware, once you have started it is difficult to know where to stop

I did invite basic/money-saving methods in the original post..........no takers yet though...........come on builders.
Pete..perhaps we should give the one about not buying a roof a miss!!!
I consider equally and sometimes even more time/effort goes into a cost-saver as does a big bucks mod.
