I like looking in the classifieds as most people do, but when I see a fifty grand car that has clearly been regge'd in the UK in 2002 and probably sat on a pair of axle stands for a year before that and claims to be a 2005 birth, I cant help feel a little wary. This is the most expensive car in classifieds, more so than 'Bitzleftover's car of 2008.
My maths must be shot.

The only 3.8l I know is the Iron Duke V6 engine. They run strong and are pretty reliable, but never heard of one of those used in an Ultima...... I'd definitely want to see pics.

Do you know the history of this car? Is the seller trying to pull a swift one?

There was an image there yesterday of a red GTR with a 2002 plate on it, I'm assuming it took about a year to build hence a 2001 chassis

Are you sure? I was looking through the classified at the weekend and pulled this one up to show [read; justify to] my wife typical pricing on US cars compared to UK, no picture at that time.

I've also looked many times and seen no picture. Maybe that tells its own story!!! caveat emptor (buyer beware) as we say in the law.
