Hi Guys,
I am just putting the plan together, doing the numbers etc and wondered whether there are ever new surplus Ultima parts for sale ? For example standard shocks if someone has upgraded to Intrax or stuff like that ?
Can am Dave may have a few bits he can help you with, i know he has sold some of them but worth a try.....I am just putting the plan together, doing the numbers etc and wondered whether there are ever new surplus Ultima parts for sale ? Thanks Kyle, will give him a shout - am looking to buy stuff that is cheaper than the factory but still new with invoices so I have no problem with the certificate of newness for the registration.
Frankly, I do not expect to find much but thought it worth asking, you never know. The other optionn is to buy a half built rolling chassis and go to the factory for the bits to finish it.

Hi Andy
If you want an adaptor plate, triple plate clutch or any other bits give me a shout i will get some prices. Do you plan to dry sump your Ls2 or run a baffled gated pan?? If you want to track day, i would dry sump but its up to you.
Do you want to px your current box for a G50 with the right ratios??

Hi Kyle,
WHOOOOSH ..... that was the sound of it going right over my head :-)
The attraction of the Ultima to me is that I can probably do 95% of it myself - bar actually setting the engine and box up which is why I bought a completely built LS2 / T56 combo as one unit. The simple answer to your question is "I don't know" so any guidance would be fantastic.
I know I need to take the T56 off the LS2 and fit a G50 on - how is a complete mystery to me. My plan was to sell the T56 to fund a G50 as it is virtually new (done about 2000 miles) and is in excellent condition, really clean with no hint of corrosion or dirt at all.
My initial thoughts were to leave this bit until last as the engine goes in at the end of the build (have been reading lots you see) but if you could tell me what I need to buy, how to put it together and how much I can part ex my existing box for I would be very very grateful.

You will need an adaptor plate to bolt your G50 to your LS, if you go supercharged then i would go with a triple plate clutch as a standard clutch will struggle with the torque. You should look at a bigger crown wheel in a G50 also to handle the torque (as Can am Dave has done)
It seems imo pointless to buy a unit that will need to be upgraded in the future if you go supercharged, so i would try and budget now for the performance upgrades.
I will try and get you some prices so you can work them into your budgets.

Brand new factory dry sump tank with single -16 return line (instead of the standard 2 -12 fittings). Located in the USSA (United Socialist States of America).
If you already have a pump with two -12 outlets you may fit it with a manifold to simplify your plumbing to the oil cooler and the tank.
