Have you not seen that video yet? You obviously haven't been on Pistonheads over the last few days. It's been posted quite a few times!!

You need 4WD to drift in that way. I've seen Russ Swift do it many times.

strange how so little grip from a 4x4, unless tyres covered in WD40(used to put oil on 4x4 rc car to do that!!!!!!!)

It would have been impressive if they had done it in one take. There are several changes with cameras popping up inside and outside the car that spoil the image.
I really envy the chap though because he must have had serious fun doing it.

i vaguely remember it being on tv a few years back, the lotus troph series was a support series the "v8 suppercars" the driver dean evens is or was editor for one of the largest motoring magazines in the country. definatly driven his fair of cars. Stig/LuckP this is who probably wrote some of the mag reports on thoes t cars.

it is real...

Dean is a very decent driver and at the time, the rest of the grid was mostley made up from beginners who had never seen mount panarama before. If you have never been there, it's a hugley intimidating cct.

I seem to recall that Lotus was race 2 of the weekend and meant reverse grid format, i.e. winner of race 1 starts last on grid.
The next year had lots of similar races because they let Exiges and Elise 111S in the class still with reverse grid yikes
