Days out!

I for one are desparately hoping that I have sufficient time and funds (GULP!)to be able to complete my build during the new year...and I am sure it will be a very emotional event the first time I can get in and actually drive my dream car out of the garage and onto the road!

...I will have the tissues ready on the passenger seat!

Now, we see posts from time to time from those who have already fulfilled their dream talking about track days, jollies out, as well as attending deserving charity bashes, and I AM REEAAALY JEALOUS!

I got to thinking that there is actually no thread dedicated to these days (or even weeks) out, so those interested have to search around in the forums!

Would you guys not agree that such a permanent thread be set up (DAYS OUT Calendar) for those who would like to know whats on offer with details? ...or is it a secret?
Doesn't matter if its an informal invite for a bunch of us going on a jollie tea-party, or an impromptu track-day!

Anyone agree we should have this thread? Stig? LuckP? Anyone like to start it and maybe our illustrious mediator could put it up where it belongs?

Keith..you mean something like a heading 'Ultima Events' or similar??.
Would be quite interesting and no doubt might help to sustain momentum when builders/owners/newbies are feeling a bit down or out of the loop!

Altough maybe it should be called Ultima Owner outings or sommat! I am sure GTW will come up with a suitably suggestive-digestive version!

I just thought it would keep the enthusiasm up, make the juices flow, and galvanise us that sometimes run out of steam to get going again!

Also, I sneakily think there are more fun outings than we first imagine!

...as well as minimising the 'Billy-no-mates' syndrome!
One can get a bit fed up doing things on your own...ask any biker!

...two or more, and more, and more...is what I can fun company!

and my - France thread to start with and Lucky-P had some sort of track day today. .. . . .
Although there is a general Events section but a sticky on here would be good.

yep great idea, it would also mean we should be able to meet up a bit more.

I did try an Ultima only trackday but it never really happened even though we still have an open invitation to join the TVR boys on their many TVR club days.
