Upgrade throttle cable?
Discussion
First make sure it is not something simple like the return spring has stretched and is not strong enough. I have a double spring arrangement on mine.
Also check that all the bits are moving freely including the pedal. Last time I had sticking I bought the cable then found the linkages on the carb needed a good grease up. The new cable is still sitting in my tool chest.
Check the cable route to see that all the curves are as wide as possible and have not been pulled out of line so that a cable tie can reach a convenient place.
If it does need replacing then your biggest problem will be getting the old and new through the front and back of the luggage pod.

Replaced mine last Winter with inner lined version. Obtained cable and fittings from Charles Dunn and fitted myself. It was not as tough as I thought to get through side pod. I attached new to old and pulled through. Luckily had not fixed in places I could not reach. It was difficult getting grommets back in place, just a hour spent upside down in a side pod. Carb end fitted with double spring.

I changed mine to a Venhill cable during my build. I thought that the factory cable was ok until I tried the Venhill one. It is ultra smooth and can bend tightly without breaking the outer casing. Definately worth the effort of changing (ideally before you install the bodywork).I replaced mine recently. Try these guys.

When I contacted Venhill about a lined cable they said it would be cheaper from the Ultima factory, so that is where I bought it!
