You're probably best off talking to the factory.

However, there have been posts here that suggest that the factory supplied dampers are a bit too long when fully extended, as there have been a few cases of the springs becoming unseated when the suspension is on full droop.

Here is what I ended up with

GAZ aluminum shocks Front (open 13" closes 9"stroke 4")
GAZ aluminum shocks rear (open 14" closes 9.5"stroke 4.5")
Springs front (7" 450 pounds)
Springs rear (7" 650 pounds)

The car is not on the road yet so i can't say how they will work. The springs do fall out then the car is jacked up. If I where to do it again I would order 1-2 inch longer spring with a lower pound rating. Hope that helps.

You probably want to have a good read of www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=60336&f=20&h=0
before making too many decisions. The dimensions of the factory springs are in there.

Gtrmannen,

here what I found out.
Springs: free length 180 mm, rate 70 N/mm front, 110 N/mm rear,
inside diameter 61 mm.
Front damper : open length (center to center of the eyes) 337 mm,
stroke without bumpstop 90 mm, bumpstop length 21 mm.
Rear damper: open length 357mm, stroke 100 mm, bumpstop lengt 23 mm.
Car isn´t yet finished, so I don`t know if the springs come loose when the car is jacked up.
Hope this helps.
