Seasons greetings fellow owners!!

Chrimbo plans for the 'Tango' centred around getting the engine started.....unfortunately due to too much Xmas pudd & being led astray by LuckyP I didn't quite get there...just a couple of little jobs and the rest of the exhuast to install - unfortunately I'm back to work in the morning......but on the bright side I'm headed out to sunny Abu Dhabi for a month..........so target for engine start is now beginning of Feb....as usual and for those interested here's a couple of piccies.....

He!he! Rob - yup it does look a bit strange without the filter housing installed.......'ole skool' look once it's in place as developed between RussF & Mr. Scwhartz looks real good though!

Loom extension did I hear you say?

My Schwartz LS7 loom could do with extending (from the engine bay forward), so any ideas?

Simon. A very nice installation but the plug leads look awfully close to the exhaust manifold.

Hi Keith!

The loom extension is only for connecting up the larger 90mm DBW throttle used in this 'ole skool' look set-up RussF & Jeff developed.....

For the main loom I have had no problems nor has Russ I believe......suppose this depends on where abouts you are positioning the ECU though...mine is at the rear of the drivers side luggage pod - keeps it nice and dry although I will have to watch heat build-up (have computer fan at the ready if needed!). Not sure where Russ has positioned his ECU though....Russ?? HTH.

Hi Alan....

As Dom says the headers have been coated (at great expense)by Zircotec - have to say quality of finish & service was fantastic even if a little on the pricey side....hoping this will help in reducing the engine bay temps.....

Having said that the leads are still a little close for comfort.....The plug caps need to be rotated through 90 degrees & I'll sleeve the HT leads with heat protection if necessary.....

Thanks Simon - glad you received the extension ok.

I've not finally fitted my ECU yet but it is fine when offered up in the same location as Simon's. I'm also looking to possibly mount it in an enclosure on a paneled section of the engine bay floor...but need to think about this one a little more.

Yup tanks and fuel fittings factory supply..........all fits in easily enough though space is quite tight especially lower RH bulkhead area......

Having said that I am a little concerned over the fuel stavation issue that other LSx owners have reported with hard track useage & the need for a swirl pot - to late for this year but will see how she runs and mod as necessary over the winter - pretty confident I can get the engine out and in within 2 days now.....HTH

Car is looking great! That new style throttle body set-up old style with the intake is pretty cool! That should look pretty neat once the filter is on. Can't wait to hear it fire up!
