Stopped by the Barret Jackson Auto Auction in Scottsdale, AZ yesterday. There is a Black 2008 Can-Am being auctioned off by Toys For Big Boys. LHD, 420hp carburated chevy 350ci. Car/Engine only has 2 miles on it. It's on the block friday evening. It'll be interesting to see what it brings...Not sure what their target is, but my guess would be around $100k-$150k US.

Personally I think you'll be lucky to see $75K on this one and my 'Hagerty fantasy bid" would be $65K (it's a Speed Channel thing for those that don't know, as they air the full BJ auction here). Of course I'd love to be proven wrong as it helps the value of US Ultimas.

I'm not sure what it looked like close up, but it didn't look a high end build from the photo's. I also don't think BJ is the right forum for an Ultima, plus a top of the line build is currently going for around $85K on the open market. Don't forget there's a 10% buyers premium on the hammer price.

Over in the States right now and have enjoyed the last couple of days watching Speed show the BJ Auctions. Some of the US Motors are just lovely and what great prices (compared to the UK)

Sold for $47K at the fall of the hammer, plus 10% buyers premium puts it at just under $52K for the buyer, seller would take home $44K. By US prices someone got a bargain.

Certainly didnt expect it to go for $47K. I chatted with the guy who built it and they just finished the car 2-3wks ago. It's brand new...It must've cost a lot more than that to build! Not a high spec, but someone got a deal (esp for a 2008).

So what are they worth now in the UK then???

Has anyone sold one since Tony sold his 640hp in September or are they all still up for sale?
