I'm tired of the little toggle switch to indicate a turn and am thinking about redesigning the dash with a stalk.
It seems that many are using the Ford Escort turn stalk. But I came across this Nissan Frontier turn stalk and it has a much better mechanical action, but it is shaped rather difficult for our space limited Ultimas.

Does anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram for the Ford stalk? It has many more electrical connections on it than the Nissan one does, which might make it easier to wire, but the Nissan doesn't have the emergency button that I like so much.
Fitting either of these, I don't believe will be a problem as I will be cutting a large, rectangular section out of the dash. Over the hole I cut, I will fit an anodized aluminum panel that allows for dealing with the depth of these stalks.
Please reply with thoughts-pro or con.
Thanks,
Paul

I'm pretty sure there is enough room behind the panel to mount them. Does anyone know if these need additional relays for the headlights? I imagine I can just wire it into the existing turn signal and hazard circuit as they don't draw that much current. Does anyone disagree?
Thanks,
Paul
