bouhgt a system for YES 30 EURO from ebay. THOR 4104 obviously made in a shack in Romania.

http://cgi.ebay.de/Thor-Zentralverriegelung-mit-Al...

After some cursing because the original manual was written in romanian I found a german manual with still lots of mistakes or in general missing vital information.
Still wondering how an average guy without any electric knowledge shall install this ??
However once you figured all bits out it is great for the price. Has remote locking, alarm with immobilizer that only goes off if alarm is actually initiated, not like the other immobilizers that require some stupid button pressing after a few seconds if the ignotion is not on immediately.
Supports 3 door contacts that are open under normal operation, only when door is opened the contact should close.
That is also referred to normally open. (NO)
Signalizes with sirene and indicators if the car has been opened or closed and guess what instead of the stupid PORSCHE keys, has one button for opening and one for closing !
Also a button to search your car, which is kind of ridiculous, as the Ultima need no such thing.
So if anyone is looking for a system like this that is good value for the prize.

I fitted one for a mate (he didn't want to pay the extra for me to supply and install a brand name one).
It went wrong and I had to tell him from the phone in mexico how to get round it.. be careful with it

yes the documentation sucks, but once you have figured it out it is working quite well
