Not sure if anyone is aware of the above but just got this message from one of our carriers. The interesting part is as follows:
"The whole section of the M4 between Theale (J12) and Membury Services(between 14 and 15) is wired, both ways. It is believed that the system is set to trigger a ticket at 78 mph. The bad news gets even worse. For
those who've got radar detectors, they won't work. SPECS is entirely passive, there's no radar or laser beam to pick up."

As a matter of interest what (if any) type of detector do people use on here?
I have a Valentine One which works quite well on picking out working Gatsos, haven't been zapped yet by radar gun so can't comment on that.

If you use a GPS one, it should be included over the next few weeks. GPS units dont detect anything, simply work off global position. Add a jammer and your laughing.
