Upper front tie rod end

I need to replace the upper tie rod end on my front left wheel. anyone can tell me the specs on it? P/N? brand, dimensions, etc?

I'm in North america, it's easier for me to find a replacement here rather than ordering a new one from the factory.

Ever find a vendor for this part. I would like to replace it with one that has added thread length, my locknut is not completely engaged.

Ken can you describe where you have the locknut fitted?

Sounds to me as if you have the nut on the end of the thread.
It should be fitted between the end of the wishbone and the back of the ball joint.

I simply asked the factory for a new one. They had one in stock and they shipped it right away.

The ball joint thread that passes through the upper part of the front uprights is what I would like to have lengthened. The nyloc nut doesn't go completely on the threads, part of the nylon is hanging off.

Yes (according to my 1998 build manual)

I bought the car in 2001 and the nyloc nut is what was in the build manual and in the kit. Lock pin is an option.
