So far I have identified 3 possible suppliers. GMparts, American Speed, The French Guys.
The prices and specs vary a lot and I would welcome advice on which way to go.
American Speed say theirs is a turnkey engine but they seem very expensive at $26000 plus import tax Plus VAT. Is it worth it?
GM parts is crate engine requiring lots of bits to make it go including an ECU and god knows what else. (I welcome input from you on the god knows what else). Price seems good though.
The French Guys. Have they got any left? Has anybody taken delivery yet? What is service etc like? Price is middle of the road.
I know that this is a big subject and thats is why I think you guys can help me onto the right track.

Next comes the barmy question which is what about LS9? Is it possible? Price seems v high for crate engine. I could give it a go if it is possible without going mad on the budget.

Any more suppliers to consider?
emails are welcome mstjwebb@btinternet.com

I know American Speed swop the inlet through 180 degrees so it fits. I guess that isn't going to be so easy or cheap.

ls 9 from GM is $21,000. The throtle body points up at a 45 degree angle so maybe that would work. You would need headers an ECU and a dummy pulley for were the Power Steering pump sets. The rest would work as is except maybe the oil pan. If the oil pan had a problem thats another $900 for a pan from ARE that will work in an Ultima , I have one now. So you lookin at maybe $28k. By the way guys $26,000 for a ls7 out the back door is NUTS there are better ways to make 505 HP out of an LS motor. Lee

You should absolutely add Jeff Schwartz to the list of suppliers. He has the whole setup that you'll need from motor to headers/exhaust to ECU and much more. The after sales support is amazing!!!! He is also very reasonably priced. Check out Schwartz Performance on Google.

Mark, if you wait until the end of the month I can send you pics of what I have received from solutionf, they will
tune in my engine with a GardnerDouglas exhaust system and then send the whole lot to me.
