Yeah its a fake, so that sves me around $9,920,000 but it will of course be using a proper Ferrari engine with straight through exhausts and velocity stack injection. Similar heirtage to the Ultima by the way. Chassis was originally (in these fakes) by Lee Noble.
So if your Ultima has, or is pending 566bhp you may be interested.

RR, I have bought a 4 yr old part built kit. Here's a pic - much work to do!
It was originally designed by Lee Noble, then the design/tooling etc passed over to Neil Foreman of NF Autos in Staplehurst.
NF ceased prodution of kits a year or two ago (I believe they were only producing 2 or 3 per annum) and they have found a buyer for the tooling etc, so the car will be back in production soon hopefully.
Interestingly the chassis is VERY similar to that of an Ultima as is the suspension and uprights etc, so much so that uprights etc are interchangeable apparently. Mine only comes with Granny brakes, and the huge AP's of the GTR wou't fit inside authentic P4 15" rims (the Image wheels on it will however be swapped out for real centerlocks, at a push I'll go for 16" if only for the better chocie of tyres - a set of 15" rubber in these historic sizes is £1000 and not really track worthy!)
Obviously the bodywork is much more labour intensive and the car requires much prep and painting, but this will be a 350bhp Ferrari V8 powered car, and my total outlay for the complete car very much inside the cost of building even a basic Ultima.
I'll be back for a GTR though, but I feel compelled to do Classic Le Mans in something like this car first.

If you haven't spoken to them I can put you in touch if you PM me. I saw your car go through and thought it was very nice indeed, good luck with it. And I agree with you, the chassis and some of the components are very similar indeed, makes sense really doesn't it?

Reading the turnkey costs hinted in the Totalkitcar review, I think I may have to try to squeeze a V12 in..... Could be one of my better automotive investments!

Indeed, I got a mail today with the new website attached although I haven't looked at it yet, I hadn't posted their details up as I thought it might still be a bit under wraps but I'm glad to see it's out there in the public domain now.
Nice guys, very enthusiastic and have the full support of Neil Foreman too. I'm not sure what engine they're planning to put in the turnkey car but had the impression they may go down the LS route.

There seems to be a South African produced car with a BMW V12 in it, that would obviously be a cheaper but less authentic option, I have the feeling that your car is an altogether better quality car than the South African and American ones.

They should focus only on putting Fezza engines in the cars whihc would do much to up the branding and value of the cars. Renaults, Rovers and Chevys, even if they made the right sound, are simply to easily recognised.
Can't wait for Hamsters review of the car on TG though. ( A V12 example)

I have seen a Foreman P4 with a V12 Ferrari motor ( out of one of those '70's four seater 412's I think it was? ) @ CBS owned and run by father and son Neil and Mat Foreman, it was their demonstrater once upon a time. The chassis was not only designed by LN but was actually an Ultima chassis, at least that is what I was told

I think you are probably right. They are very very similar. MIne is not the same as the P4 rep has a tube and diagnols running down the centre of cockpit.
I guess its down to which chassis LN was referring to. Perhaps the Ultima MK1 - MK3 were different. The Sports and Spyder chassis bear very strong resemblance to the GTR & Canam do they not (i.e the radiator and boby mounts altered but thats about it???
All the suspension pickups and centre sections of the chassis as well as wishbones are also very similar.

Pity about the 'noble' choice of a 'Foreman' P4 which they've used as their website banner header.
