Rear Grill Fixing

Has any one fitted their rear grill in so that it it can be removed? Search not working too well at the moment. I have taken mine out to do the wing suppoert brackets but don't really want to struggle with mastic again!

As far as I'm aware you will be the first although not the first to run without a grill at all.

yep, 3x M6 nuts, studs bonded to gf. Slots in then tighten up, god send.

I run mine without the rear grill and I have to say that it certainly is convienant to be able to acsess the car from that posistion without the grill in the way. I would give it a long thought before I mounted the grill. Lee

most of what I do from the rear of the car is cleaning. I have recently been fitting an airbox to my Kinsler set up, I can connect a batteray charger to the starter and ground, can't connect to the bat itself I use a pc925 and the terminals are to close to the steering rack support. The list goes on I just don't think the back of the car needs the grill to look the way I want it. Certainly only my opinion. Lee

Phil, did you just use the black bonding muck or have you used glass fibre stuff, sorry if i appear far to technical here.

You probably could use silkaflex, but I used P40 (chopped stranded stuff), the bolts have perforated plates at the base for this purpose, like the ones used one each side of the side pods.

No grills at all on my car for the above reasons.
