Can't remember how much.

It's been done so many times before but no matter what I try the search can't find it.

Thanks
Steve

build manual, you girls are spoilt..... never had one in my day! (except for a few paper pages that covered the riveting for about 10 pages, then last page said - put in the engine, fit the body and enjoy!

My kit came with a Mk4 Sport build manual, but the car ended up as a GTR so I must have misread it somewhere!

My build manual says 3.75 liters. I was doing some modifications to the CMS side shifter on my G50 today and although I know the oil is in the transaxle it surprised me how little it looked inside. Is there a recommended extra to add when running a transaxle cooler to compensate for what cooler and hoses holds?

Does the G50 have a level plug i.e. fill until oil runs out a specific hole, or do you have to drain and physically check it's 3.75 liters?

I also note that my fill plug is hidden under breather tanks and a rear cross member, it's impossible to get to, what is everyone else doing to fill the transaxle with oil?

Thanks,

LuckyP

I used to fill from the diamond shape plate which receives one of the breather hoses on th RHS of the box. Took the plate off with the hose still in place.

Drained, measured and filled.

I use Joe Gibbs synthetic SAE 75W-110; It ain't cheap but it has saved my bacon before now so I am sticking with it wink
I have an LSD, oil cooler with pump and I use about 4.25ltrs, so I would say yes, you do need to use more of the amber nectar in this situation.
