Front Splitter & Track Tires

Well after 6 months I have finally got the CanAm back in my posession and I'm busy trying to get the finishing touches for a track event mid jJune, not helped by the fact I'll be working in Canada for the next 2 weeks.

I got a front splitter template but cannot find any reference to what thickness of plywood is recommended to manufacture it from, anyone?

I also have Toyo R888's to mount, but don't have time to do any body mods if the fronts rub and by all indications they will as they are 265/35 size. I looked to get a set of Kumho's as recommended by the factory and here in teh US there appears to no longer be a 335/30 size option on the V710's . So I have a dilema, get some different Toyo's for the front (closest sizes available are 255/35 or 225/40 both 25.1" dia. whereas a 245/35 is 24.8" dia.) or go for Kumho's and settle for 305/30 or 315/35 on the rear. The onlty tire brand available in both front and rear correct sizes appears to be the Hoosier R6. Any thoughts ot input greatly appreciated.

May I suggest the Yokohama Advan A005? You can find the sizes and specs here

S00 is the softest compound, S05 is the hardest. S01 would be good on the Ultima. They are pure track tires though, no threads, won't last 1 hour on regular roads.

Wilder, where and what was the mod required? Did it involve bodywork, paint etc. or was it more a behind the scenes mod? Thanks, Julian
