I have searched the forum but don't see anyone who has actually built and licensed an Ultima in California. I am considering building a GTR but would like to talk to someone who has actully done it here. If you are such a person, please let me know. I would like to contact you via email to see what you have experienced.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Can't help you with the California bit as I am in the UK. I am building a GTR though.
If you find someone (I think you will) don't restrict your questions to just email as there are others (registered or lurking) on here who may benefit from the knowledge.

Hello,

Lotsa laws there but a great place to have this car. Look up Brammo motorsports (brammo.com). It is the web site for the guy that has built the most cars in the US. He sold one to someone living in San Francisco and it is registered for road use.

Craig Bramscher is the owner, great guy. He can give you the details on registering the car.

Larry, if I'm not mistaken the people at brammo.com made a car for a client in SFO (green Can AM??). They are in Ashland Oregon. I have no connection with them but I like following their build journals. It's seems they have shrunk their build journals since I had followed them earlier. Licensing a car like this in Cali is tricky but I think it can be done. They have a nice Stealth B6 Sport for sale!

We plan to have the build journals rebuilt and have several more up in the coming weeks. We added a lot of features to our build journal software, so it has taken a bunch of time to move it over to the new version. Hopefully they will all be up to date by Christmas.

We added a new chronological view of each of the build journals so you can view them in order of build, rather than just categorical by process.
