I know of a cheap 305 which is an early SBC (sadly its not the ultra rare race one), sitting in a garage gathering dust. Could be sorted and used for SVA then swapped to whatever you want giving you minimal emission restrictions (I think the block is 1977).
Give Mark a call at Rapid GB Northampton, can't find the number but he's on google. Motor has a few trick bits as it passed through my hands about two years ago...
