Using gel coat repair kit

Anyone got any info on using the gel coat supplied with body kit,I have some light surface scratches where the body has rubbed against other parts of the body. I have looked in the build manual and if it's there I can't see it.

whats the best way to apply it , how much do I use, does it need buffed afterwards?

I have some light spider web cracking but keep look at the repair kit I have with fear (think Ben Stiller looking the small briefs he's been given in "Meet the Parents"

small cratches that are not deep enough to have reached the fiber can be sanded and polished, no need to repair.
