Anyone got thoughts on which reverse view camera to use?.... to plug & play with a kenwood 7220 head unit. Easy option I suppose is to go with Kenwoods own, but thought it's worth a question to see what you're all using. Brand / model & cost would be a great help.

Cheers
Paul

The only problem with a Rear View camera is the crap that gets stuck to the back of the car on long runs. The exhaust and grim gets everywhere and suspect you may have to clean it quite often.

LOL..I actually find it harder to reverse my (large)Insignia than my Ultima! In addition to the camera I assume you have conventional mirrors also? I have to say though, the curved angle of the Ultima mirrors gives me an impression of being a lot closer to objects than I actually am..has anybody else experienced this?

The chap who SVA'd my GTR said he'd failed one that had a camera only...

I used a Pioneer AVIC with a waterproof bullet camera with IR LEDs for night use on the Can-Am.

It was pretty good actually, the quality was fine and whilst you could use it for a rear view mirror, I had a 'normal' rear view fitted too as the Can-Am doesn't have the rear visibility issues that the GTR has.

I intended it to be used for tight space parking - but was really there just because the head unit supported it smile

Hi Dom, it was from eBay IIRC. HK seller and was about £40 if I recall correctly as it had a wide angle lens (you need that to a decent field of vision).

Will see if I can find any more surrounds tonight smile
