seat belts to high

The pics of the fellow who was wearing a crotch belt incorrectly caused me to re-evaluate my belts. The belt runs to high crossing above my navel and the straps are to long. I am 6 foot 2 and weigh 200 lbs the belts are standrad factory belts in the stock mount points. Anyone have any input, I really should correct this. Thanks for any efforts in this regard,Lee
