Happy to report that the pin worked at 55 mph with all latches released. No doubt in my mind it would work at much higher speeds, but I'll test that when I have to.
Have increased the size of my buildsite, so am able to show more shots starting with this one.

The pin is actually made from a 1/2" Stainless steel bolt with the head cut off.
