Hi guys: I have posted this before in 07 but the post about the throw out bearing support tube which I suffered through also, reminded me of the other little problem. On certain LS rear main bearing support plates, a couple of small points on the stock LS plate protrude about .030 of an inch beyond the matting surface for the Kennedy adapter supplied by the factory. This occurs on maybe 10% of all the LS bearing support plates built. I will take a guess and say that they probably came from a different G.M. supplier than the rest. with a standard install of a manuel or auto transmission this would never be an issue. I machined my bearing suport plate to eliminate the interference. I called Kennedy about the problem and they really jumped up and took responsibility. They offered to machine anyones plate who runs into this problem for free. they also indicated that they were going to update the adapter to avoid this in the future.
The bad part of this story is the interferance is so slight that it would be easy to just pull the adapter home with the bolts but who knows what that might cause over the long haul. Lee
