Well guys'n'gals SVA re-test finally confirmed for August 25th @ 10.00am........

Car is basically finished now with all the fail points corrected with the exception of the final mapping and checking the noise (decibel inserts at the ready!)....couple of minor items to bolt on including the wheel centres and Ultima badges but she's finally done:

Heading back to the UK on Sunday so apart from racing with Pete at Silverstone the following weekend should have time to get her ready......even managed to get the number plates made up.......hopefully 'L7 ULT' will be on the road before the end of summer and flying the Ultima flag with the rest of you......

Simon

that looks great! Love the black wheels. Aren't you fitting a rear wing?

Where do you get those led rear lights from. Are they a factory part?

Thanks guys....yup gonna fit the wing but want to get it through the SVA first....one less thing to worry about!

Lights are factory items....will be dark tinting to much the orange/black theme once the car is legal!

Cheers Pete.....hopefully be on the road by the time we're racing at Snetts in September....

Look forward to taking you out in her - come to think of it that will be almost two years to the dot that I had my first Ultima experience with you and X8 GTR at Snetts which is kinda cool;)

Car looks great! Glad to see it almost finished. It is making me wish my investments pay off as I WANT an Orange GTR in my garage!!! Until then my Orange TT Camaro will suffice. wink I love the black & orange theme. It all ties together nicely. I have enjoyed watching the build progress and look forward to hearing about you enjoying the car. And maybe watching some video as well. biggrin

Thanks for the kind comments guys.........as always the build is never really finished and I've a 'must do' post SVA list of things - basically things that complete the look of the car as I originally envisaged including:

Rear wing - Factory item
Front splitter - ???
Carbon clam (shark grill) vents ala LMP2 style front & rear - design ongoing!
Front/rear tow eyes - completed ready for fitting
Reduce side window height ala GTR-TT look.....
Remove all the bloody SVA interior c**P and add carbon centre cowl
Install AP bias control

and then driving the bloody thing as fast as poss as much as poss!!

Simon

PS - Clint if you can get one more pass out from SWMBO then you're than welcome to come along to S/stone...ticket ready and waiting for you!

Oh nearly forgot....wheels are Forgeline ZX3r.....HTH

Don't you worry about me fella, there will never be another GTW yes
And remember, it is flattering to have ones ideas and designs replicated by others ( well, SSS's ideas and designs mainly but I chose and paid so they are 'ours' really hehe )

^^^^- Very close now. Just had the windscreen fitted and the car has a few bits & bobs needed before it is fully ready. I will be applying for the IVA within a few days. I'm not sure how long the waiting time is for the new test. It is so bloody close now it is starting make my teeth itch.
