Fitting mirror glass

Anyone know how the mirror glass is fitted.
I have the electric mirrors which came with the motors installed. I then have machined ali plates and the mirrors.
I could glue the plates to the motors then the mirrors to the plates.
Is it that simple or am I missing something?

The ally plates are glued to the motors then the glass is velcroed to the plates. If its a Canam use a little locktite when fastening the mirror to the metal arm. mine came loose at first and was a bitch to tighten once the motor was fastened in place.

I used the black adhesive that was applied for bonding the panels to the frame to glue the aluminum panel to the motor. Then I used a gasket RTV (low temp) to glue the mirror to the plate. I'm hoping that by using a thin, narrow blade, the mirror can be removed.
