BMW produce Light weight M3

I notice that BMW has produced a light weight M3, i.e. no air con / No radio use of carbon fibre etc...

Got me thinking on the lines of building the Ultima as light weight as possible.

I was going to build the ULTIMA CANAM with carpets a/con radio centre consols etc...

But this has got me going of on a different track

The car's are pretty well stripped down already Brian. You can save some weight here and there, but you'll start to find driving the thing a bit of a chore as it becomes more and more like a race car.

ie. noisy and hot!

A few creature comforts won't make a lot of difference (in the real world) as there's plenty of performance on tap anyway.

Of course, if you intend to compete (drag/circuit, whatever) then you may have to make more suitable plans. But if it's primarily going to be used as a road car, then I wouldn't go too mad with the mods.

Back to my original plan I think.

You get a load of heat sink through the bulkhead. Not a total requirement as per GTR but a very nice, nice to have.
