Hi Guys,

So who is the UK LS7 fueling Technexpert in dis estabishmint?

Have the fuel reg, lines and stuff from the factory..HURRAY!
..but also have the filters 100 & 10 micron...HURRAY!

Erm...but no factory pump..BOO!

Hang on....but I do have.......no less than 3 Holley in-line high pressure pumps 12-920 (no idea what they are like). [DON'T ASK!]

Shame not to use them!

So what would be the ultimate/best arrangement for this lot?

Think the factory uses one pump, but no idea of rating etc.

I will admit that at this stage I am LOST!

cheers

have you asked the factory

i would have thought a pump per tank for low pressure side and maybe a high pressure pump for the injectors... are there 2 pumps the same and then one more powerfull type???

Im sure you will be able to use the holley pumps you could piggy back them if required.

Do you have a swirl pot(4 fittings required, we use 3 dash 6 and 1 dash 8 outlet)?? I have one spare if required??

Use the original factory lift pumps to feed the swirl pot
through a filter (old one will do if its upto the power upgrade)

out the bottom of the swirl pot to the first filter, then onto the efi pump (holleys) before the next filter. Then the rails

Is it a LS or SBC? on standard fuel rails or twin rails ie with a return??

The fuel should always be regulated after the injectors to maintain the pressure across all eight injectors (or 16 if you are flash)

The LS uses a single rail system which requires modifying or a special regulator filter fitting.

The return fuel goes back via the reg to the swirl pot and the excess fuel from the top of the swirl pot back to the tanks via one of the extra pipes.

this is the setup I am using, works very well, very similar to what Kyle described but I have added
valves to prevent overfilling with the return line. If you have two feed pumps you might just use Marks setup
with only a return line valve.

The only thing I have noticed is when the tank is approx. down to 7-8 liters my feeder pumps starts sucking air
so eventually I have to switch tanks before they really get empty.

lots of discussion about it here
