IVA Mirror positioning - can-am style on a GTR

A question I've been struggling with for a while...
I have can-am mirrors to fit to my GTR (now the last job before IVA) - but am trying to find out the exact positioning to ensure IVA compliance for field of view. I think if I put them exactly as per can am fit, then I'll lose some of the field of view necessary on the IVA pole/flag tests. I suspect they need to come back a bit on the fore/aft location (but not too far so the viewin angle from the seat is affected)
If anyone has any ideas, please let me know before I start drilling the doors! Any photos from directly behind various GTR/can-ams would be a great help, especially from the rear 3/4 angle at mirror height or below so I can ascertain the normal GTR field of vision.
