Hi All,

I have got the bodywork all in place and after a lot of tweaking it seems to be fitting together ok.

The only problem I have is the gap between front nearside wheel arch and the top of the tyre is minimal, about half an inch, where as the off side is at least an inch.
The ride height bars are fitted and the suspension has been set up with the string box so I know that is all ok.

The bonnet is dead level across the rad floor pan but when closed (without the catches on) it sits at least 1/2 inch above the cockpit section on the nearside.
It will push down to make up the difference and lock
in on the catch but something is not quite right.
Perhaps the cockpit section has been moulded like that?

When I was at the factory last week there was a red GTR with exactly the same problem, Richard said it was common.

Can I adjust the intrax shocks to lift that side up slightly so the bonnet is not catching on the tyre, or will that affect the way it handles?

Does all that make sense?
Am I worrying over nothing here and talking b*****s?

Remember, you'll have to account for your suspension bump travel. Take off your springs and measure the distance at full bump mine are 334mm fully extended and 283mm fully compressed and touching the bump stops. I would, however, go with the "metal-to-metal" measurement not including the bump stop. Make up a set of ride height bars that are the same length as you dampers in full bump and see where it puts your tires.

No Gary your not taking B******'s and it is common! The body does need a certain amount of massaging to get the best compromise. The factory does provide spacers etc to assist with the body fit!
