Now that's starting to look what the Mk4 GTR should look like clap Definitely more modern. Front clip is nice but don't know if the old style lights really should be like that. Back end (Corvette look) with diffuser is great and exhausts are top bow Large side intakes to gulp fresh air a bit of Testarossa there. What about the overall aerodynamics?

Overall I like it, not sure about the shape of the exhausts, I think if they're going to be like that they need to be tru-er to the shape of the rear cut out. Also not sure about that wing, the car might look better without it.

Like the rest though including the front spoiler area mod, well done!

You'd have to relocate the tanks to acheive the side scoop.

As many of you will know i have spent weeks researching and meeting with various companies re a complete new body for the GTR, ive seen all manner of ideas thrown at me. The possibilities are endless, but what a great starting point. The fastest / quickest base with a gorgeous exterior. Ill be changing mine before too long.

Definatly CGI images, but a good starting point. The fuel tanks are the biggest issue, i spent many hours with SSS deciding if we could do something along these lines with the LS series of engine and basically not without removing the passenger!. Didnt really like the thought of my fuel cell being an ovesized bag!

The Audi engine that a few have opted for is smaller therefore they fit the tank behind the bulk head. freeing up the side pods and allowing for the vents to be cut into place. very pleasing to the eye, whilst being practical. now theres something you dont hear everyday.

Lots of other options providing the budget is large enough. Ive even spoke to several companies that i deal with on a professional basis, re a complete new shell, easily done and fairly cheap providing there are a few of you to take one.

Its no surprise that these images are starting to appear the current GTR is looking very dated, and the gutting thing is im not even on the road yet!

Looks great as a styling exercise, I agree.
Wouldn't the mirrors be an issue too? They look like they will give you a great view of the rear wings and nothing else, and are surely too low to pass the SVA/IVA?
I've seen some really nice variations on the Ultima theme recently- it can only be a good thing!

I don't understand all this dated stuff.

How can a car designed to look like a 70's/80's Group C LeMans car look dated?

If you want something that looks modern then buy/build a modern car.

Leave the Ultima alone...I like it the way it is. (with the exception of the nice SSS bits)

hey professor tolerance is a virtue but I agree would not change anything on my bodywork just like it as it is. Still interesting to see what people make out of the car.

yawn! we dont do change round here, change the record. Im sure Ultima had the same thigns shouted when they had the sport as theyre current model, new and improved all the way. It is dated fact!

However these forums are for everyone to voice an opinion, just seems odd that you dont agree with change and that we should leave the ultima alone, however updates from sss are acceptable. Make up your mind either leave alone or change, based on your comments not both ways.

wouldnt match at the sides though due to modified sill s etc...or do you mean just the front??

I feel the part that dates an ultima and if you wanted to modernize it , would be the front clip as the rest of the cars design was ahead of time.... and still looks very modern... Id be interested in a modified clip as well, maybe like this or the highly modied swedish one??

I'm sure you mean Swedish not Swiss. Its probably Jon Olsson's car your refering to.
