A search is not finding anything relating to the cleaning of an Accusump, although I do remember some on here having done so.

So what is the best method of cleaning the internals, flushed out or dismantled and cleaned by hand. Any advice would be appreciated (I am not sending it back to the States for a rebuild!).

Hi Phil

I did mine last year, a bit of a messy job but well worth it as they seem to harbour a lot of grime.

I would strip it down and clean each component.... the only bit i remember being tricky was pulling the actual sliding seal from the unit as i was that well sealed i thought it had a fixing holding it together!! I think it was just the vacuum just making it hard to seperate.
