I read Sport Compact Car Magazine's Ultimate Street Car Challenge article last night. March 2004 issue.
Jay's GTR did really well!
The Viper guys have no reason to complain. Sounds like the Viper was thrown together. Fuel pump mounted 1/2 inch from the driveshaft, etc. The magazine called the Viper " a Visa car". Jay's unfortunate installation of cams ground on the wrong lobe centers, cost him the overall win. He would have picked up some points is the emissions and driveability and he would have won easily.

Borders had it, also Autozone.

the viper was built down the street from me at hefners. I though they where supposed to be on of the best viper places in the US. I guess spending lots of money doesn't guarantee quality.

Thanks for the notice Jeff. Jay, great job. When you replace the cams I hope you'll find time to drive the car back to the SCC office and give them a ride around town.

"This is not a kit car", they have a clue. If I didn't know the address of Jay's website I would scream for more details about his car as well as the others.

Jay, do your friends still have motors similar to yours for sale? (not for the ultima guys)
