Happy Xmas to all - best wished for 2010 !

Not a very exciting video, but I have just got a new laptop, so I thought I would try to publish something on YouTube, to see how it works

well spotted Dom it sounds like the starter and ring gear not disengaging to me. Those LS engines sound so sweet.

Yes - good spot - I wondered if the dog bark would distract you !

It is a belt I think - need to investigate further.

If the belt only squeals on startup or when cold it is no bad thing to leave it that way.
Many have suffered broken alternator mounts in the past that may have been attributed to running the belt too tight.

The LS engines have a spring tensioner so there's no adjustment.

I had a nasty belt squeal problem with mine too.... solved it with a little shimming on the blower drive and changed to a gatorback belt. I ordered a few different sizes around the size that was on there and found a slightly smaller belt worked better.

Thanks for that input Steve, and thanks to Crafty for his info.

The car has only done 200 miles so I think maybe I will leave it alone for the time being.
I appreciate your advice
