Hi,

Newbie and first time poster here. I'm looking at building an Ultima GTR soon. Totally obsessed by the car lol as i guess most are who consider building one.

I've seen the dimensions on the Ultima website for the GTR, 4000mm long and 1850mm wide. What i wanted to check was are these totally accurate? is 1850mm the widest part of the car?

Reason i ask is that i'm renting a garage (or about to) to do the build in. Inside there will be plenty of room but the doors are quite tight. Taking the 1850mm from the garage door width i have 7 inches left over to spare. So thats 3.5 each side.

Once built the car will be kept somewhere else so i'll only need to get the car through the doors once hopefully lol. But if its any bigger im gonna be stuck with a car that i can't get out of the garage.

So can anyone i.e. current builders/owners let me know if 1850mm is wide enough? i can get into the car ok while its in garage so its just getting it through the doors thats the problems.

Cheers

Dan

If I'm reading you right the garage doors are 7 inches wider than the car. If so then where is the problem? Are you saying you can't steer it through with 3.5 inches to spare each side?

I think he is just double checking that the car is 1850mm at its widest point.

Yer sorry didnt explain it very clearly. It is just like you said - i've got 3.5 inches spare on either side of the car (which im more than able to steer through :-) ) but thats assuming that the widest part of the car is def 1850mm.

Just wanted to check the dimension against a real car.

Mine is 1820mm at its widest.

Perhaps it has shrunk in the wash.
Belay that...I don't wash it that often.
