LS7 build help needed

Quick question to those that have built with the LS7 fly-by-wire throttle sensor.

I have a diagram with the position of the bracket for the throttle pedal position sensor but no instructions for fitting.
Does it need to be rivinuted to the chassis as this will cause it to stand slightly away from the chassis (the head of the rivinut is a couple of mm proud when fitted I should think)?

I have got to call the factory tomorrow for more bits so I can ask then if no one on here has experience of fitting this bracket.

Unsure as to whether you are fitting the full GM accelerator unit/pedal combo or just the switch/pot housing combined with a link bar/ball joint connection, to standard Ultima pedal. Both method's seen so far have been rivnut fastened to the upper chassis cross-member, there is some clearance between the top of this rail and the body moulding which eventually sits over the top.
Who's engine kit are you using?

The factory offers a fitting kit for the standard fly-by-wire pedals. The LS7 pedal is mounted on top of the body rail (above the pedals) and connected to the original pedal via a threaded rod. Comes with fitting kit (as usual).

The pedal travel can be adjusted and you don`t waste foot space due to the much bigger LS7 pedal. Go ahead and order one, save space and time...

Thanks for the prompt replies chaps.

In the end I put my glasses on (should have done that in the first place) and found that the supplied rivinuts have a countersink head unlike the ones I have in stock.

Mounting plate now fitted (for the Ultima rod link kit to fit throttle position sender above chassis rail).

Quite often if I stand there for long enough scratching my head the answer comes to me!!

I fitted the bracket and the fly-by-wire , and I found that the arm was too long, when I replaced the cockpit - the end of the arm fouled the underside of the cockpit. I had to remove it (with difficulty, when the cockpit was on) and cut the arm down a bit - it works fine even though it is a bit shorter.

I will ask the factory about this tomorrow as it will be much easier to sort with the body off. Thanks for the heads-up.
