cleaning the garage of gear boxes

hi folks I need to get rid of my collection of gear boxes that i acquired before my build, one is an immaculate short G50/03 with fork and pinion and maybe i can find a take cylinder as well the other is a 96 which will need a new differential (preferrably LSD)because of maiking noise (I got this box cheap so I have a starting point for a rebuilt one that i know would be perfect.)
Before i put them in the classified i wanted to clean them up, and the sand blower told me they have to be free of any oil. so what would be a good solution to clean them from oil so i can get them sand blasted later ?

Try steam clean. Also exists degrease products you spray on the surfaces that need cleaning, let sit for a while and rinse with warm water. Here in Switzerland, when to take you car for its periodical technical inspection, the chassis and engine bay has to be spotless. Makes also for later easy and clean mechanical work.

An overnight soaking with clean diesel works well on grubby ally casings.
