Hi, im a newbie to the forum, however its taken me a good two weeks to find out what car i saw on trailer approx two weeks ago by junction 11 m6. The car was a part finished Red ultima GTR i think, it exited the motorway at junction 10 walsall being towed by a rental van, does any one on here know who owns it or what was being done to it as it looked different from the others ive googled, no windscreen but huge 5 spoke rims. The car looked awesome, any details would be appreciated.

Also how much would it cost for me to build one to the same spec etc. Am i right 30k will see me on the road.

Hi wasnt me...biggrin

30k....mmm you might get on the road for that but you'll be pedaling as you wont have an engine in it......If you want a nice one youre looking at 55k to build or 40k secondhand...Good luck though its worth it!!

The car is owned by a member on here and it was just on it's way to have it's interior fitted. No windscreen because it isn't finished yet. I'm afraid 30k will not get you anywhere near the spec of the car you saw but it may get you a low priced 2nd hand car.

I had a feeling the spec of the one i saw maybe a little higher but from what i had read i was under the impression they werent too expensive to build.
Are there any photos of the one i saw, ive mentioned it to a few people and there seems to be quite a lot of interest especially from me. i think a factory visit is in order.

Glad you didn't mention any names Steve (he's still basking in the fame from the Telegraph article!)

Ha ha you pair of old censored mine could only go as fast as the one in front, and I think we still overtook GTRMikie tongue out
The slowest Ultima I’ve seen was beaten away from the lights by a Peugeot 106, I wonder why you never mentioned that Mikie?hehe

I don't think it was a 106, and he was trying very hard!
