I have been using Hagerty past couple of years and was wondering if they are still competative (£577, 3000 miles, garaged)?

thanks

Hagerty's quote last year was silly.

I am still with Pace Ward (Chauser) who are very useful if you want more miles than the usual restrictive 3000

I have been with Hagerty for three years but they told me that they have been advised by their underwriters to go back to classic car insurance, so anything pre 90s (I think) is good value but any modern stuff is expensive. My preminum went up around £200 this year!
ClassicLine came in just over half of Hagerty.

I will bear that in mind when my renewal comes up in May. Do they offer the same trackday cover?

I was with Hagerty, but they seem to have gone all mega low risk. I ended up with Adrian Flux - 3000 miles, £280. Market value.

Guys, how many of you exceed the 3000 miles per year allocation?

mines due on the road in the next few months so ill be sortibng insurance out soon, and 3000 miles seems low. Does the price shoot up drastically if you take 6000 miles on the policy?

When I first insured my Can-am a couple of years back it was no more expensive to insure for 3,000 miles then extend it to 5,000 if needed than it was to insure for 5,000 miles from the outset.

No race license needed (me a race driver, are you kidding...) and they've been really good with trackday coverage as well. I just ring them up and as long as the organiser is listed with them they issue a cover note.

If you're part of a car club they apply a discount too, I joined the Lotus Car club and got a 10% discount, ask them about it when you call...(also mention that you know of our GTR's being insured for circa £500).
