Headlights

Guys,

Had a quick look through the old posts, has anyone come up with a modified headlamp unit yet that could be fitted as a direct replacement, using some current technologies without the need to replace the front clip?

Define 'Current technologies'.

If you are thinking of HID then this would have to be done after IVA unless you want to install a headlight washer system and a self levelling system for the lights or self levelling suspension.

Yes something along those lines, but definatly after iva, not looking forward to it as it is.

it seems that here in Germany the height Adjustment of the beams (Leuchtweitenkontrolle) is mandatory for a few years now, I wonder
if that will become a problem with my registration........

Ive always wondered why no one has painted the headlight surround the same colour as the car before fitting the clear covers...any reason other than you dont need to bother if your car is black!!

During daylight the black defines the shape of the headlight cluster. If it were body colour it would appear as a mish-mash of shapes and reflections and lack definition.
