VMAX LAST WEEK

Ive been following the Vmax as i was supposed to be going with the Ultima but looking at the reports I feel i did the correct thing as breaking is just important as speed!!!!!!!!!!!!and breaking with a recently broken leg is not a good idea...

By the looks of things a Carrera GT went through the trap at 222 mph(and Canam Dave he did a 210 with the roof down!!!.......

It also ran out of road on breaking and hit the bank at the end. whoops!

Driver was taken to hospital but is 100% ok....

Seems like a bit of chinese whispers been doing the rounds.

A 9ff 996TT cab (1120bhp?) went through the traps at 222mph.

A 9ff GT850 went through the traps at 202mph?

A 9ff GT9R development car had a problem in the braking area with the owner of 9ff driving and had an "off". As a precaution the Emergency Rescue team got both the driver and passenger airlifted to hospital for assessment. Both released with a clean bill of health and back at Brunters a few hours later. The car will be repaired and returning to VMAX asap.

As Daz mentioned great day and some stunning speeds which unfortunatly I doubt we will see in an ultima. I was stuck in the mid 180's for the day in the Audi.

Im hopeing there will be another Vmax coming up and have heard they might run another one this year..Seeing as you were there was there talk about it?

so your Audi is quicker than a Ultima is it??

Yes as was the porsche- Ultima are very quick to 140mph but after that the drag and gearing slow them down and then limit top speed. I used to bounce of the rev limit at 165mph 1/3 down the runway. I changed the gearbox and should do 185- 190mph . You need serious BHP to get 200mph as Lucky and Crazy have all experinced.

Kyle, im not convinced, my best mate has just chopped his gallardo in for the new R8 and he's gutted with it, he's waiting on a trade in price back and lambo now.
