Throttle & return spring for this setup????

Trying to install the throttle body shown in the attached photos. Need to mount throttle cable and return spring somehow. Can anybody offer any advice as to how it can be done and/or where to get necessary parts? I can't raise throttle body because of hood clearance (Canam)

Who's manifold is it (manufacturer)?.
How do Can-am owners fit a carb motor normally .....your throttle body assembly is much shorter than most carbs so unless the intake is very tall why cant you lift it with a 1 or 2 inch spacer, (which will likely improve things too).

Manifold is same height as std and is edelbrock.Throttle body is 1 inch shorter than carb and I have bought 1 inch spacer, but the throttle arm hits bottom of air cleaner so I will need a spacer for that. Not enough room under hood for both. However my main problem is actually attaching throttle cable, sheath and return spring. Original bits are useless and I have no idea where to buy stuff.

First thing is to measure how far the throttle cable moves when you take the pedal from nothing to full throttle.
With that dimension you can work out which hole on the crank of the TB will give you the same amount of travel. You may then be able to reduce the length of the crank and clear the underside of the air filter. You may also be able to find a filter with a recess in the underside to help with the clearance.

The long stud to the right in your pictures also seems the logical place to attach the cable outer.

Thanks for getting the pictures up Steve. It did work if you clicked on the ? in my initial post. Already have dished air filter. Agree with you on position of throttle cable. But the problem is that I have no fixings to mount it there and no idea where to get them (have been to real steel site etc) I have nothing to fix cable end to lever on throttle body as it is different to holley. Of course I can prob fabricate something but was hoping that somebody knew of a co that made something proper if you know what I mean.

Hi Mark

What you need is an aftermarket throttle cable bracket. If you get one with a Uflex mount it will work with the ultima throttle cable.
You can get them from Summit racing and other such places. I made a simple bracket that fitted to this for the throtttle return spring. Depending on your application the spring can be fitted to the notch on the right of the bracket. You can get these in red, blue and clear anodised. The part that the cable fits to moves in relation to the flat part of the bracket. I'll look for a pic of mine and post it later. The one below is made by CSR and on the Summit site it is part number CSI-610R. My pic now added. I'll see if I can find a better one later.

That Dave is exactly the kind of thing that I am looking for.I had found this http://www.precisionraceengines.com/parts-and-acce... however I was not sure if it would clear the fuel rail etc. Just trying to find somebody who has done it already so I can pick their brains.
