Finally got my reg allocated and tax disc today! I'M ROAD LEGAL

- and it's forecast rain all damn weekend!!
Couple of interesting notes. Took 1 week to process after submitting all paperwork to DVLA local office. They said 24hrs last Friday...then daily reminder calls from me got the usual "it's being processed sir" - until yesterday when someone was actually helpful, called me back from the local office and admitted they'd not looked at the file yet!! - probably because it was a touch complex the bloke said (not the normal new reg production box application! ) -he thanked me for chasing it up. A final chase up this afternoon saw it all done an hour later so I dashed the 60 miles from the office to collect the docs before the weekend.
Also - no need for DVLA inspection - I provided full photo evidence of the build, and clear pics of chassis and engine numbers from various distances to show position and detail, along with the usual receipts, certificate of newness etc. Actually printed about 50 photos ranging from bare chassis to completion, and included 2 CD's with several hundred photos of the full build.
Plates are on - now waiting for a dry spell!
