Hi all only a little query ( ooh er matron ) not devled in my self yet but does the AC copressor adjust from underneath ( ac comp on uk drivers side on s b c ) my belt is a bit loose and slipping a bit / lot, hands up bit of a lazy question :-) , had a glance last night when i put car away in garrage and belt well loose ( spose its just settled in length, car 1400 miles old now ) but didnt see an obvious adjust ment point assume its from the under side , ??? and an ice cold magners was calling drinkcheers for any ideas ,Dal

Yes it is adjustable as long as you still have adjustment range. If not then you may need to fit a shorter belt. Adjustment is a pig to get at.

Unless you have an early car, then it's just a case of shortening the threaded rod, by means of the two nuts, which connects the compressor to the bracket on the front of the cylinder head.

Hi cheers for the advice yes it is adjustble type and yes i would agree a bit of a git took both me and Tracey ( my wife ) to do it, I held it under tension and she tightned it up , as i guessed , the belt had beeded in and the nuts and bolts on bracket were not megga tight , think ill go over it all for a spanner check this weekend , anyone elses thoughts on what to look for that slowly undoes its self idea cheers Dal

Exhaust manifold bolts. Took probably a year for mine to finally bed down.

Mine have never moved but others have had drive shaft bolts loosen.
