Guys just flipping through Evo Car magazine, and it seems they do theyre own Topgear type track test.

Current Leader is the radical SR8LM.

Now at the bottom it simply says - "If you have a car you'd like to put up against the clock on the west circuit, let us know. Contact our tame racing driver on - [e-mail]

Now my car is not ready, but im sure some of you high HP guys out there can get an Ultima Gtr in 1st place.?

I doubt a GTR would be able to better that Radical time. The West circuit is rather twisty from what I remember and the Radical is a proper ground effect/aero car.

I'm not saying the GTR could not better the Radical on some tracks. Just not that one. But hey, if someone wants to give it a go!!!

A real David v's Goliath that one, That Rad had the outright prod car record on the Nordschleife.
I doubt that "any" GTR would stand a chance against a light weight aero car like that.

interesting thing about EVO mag is they have the Ultima GTR listed in the supercar section at the back every month, and gave it a great review and had it listed as one of the top ten fastest cars ever etc, but havent yet tested it on the track? Which is the strange part. Why list it everywhere and put it a top ten and test all other nine only?

Would be great to get it on the track listings,even if not at the top. They have stuff like astras and fords listed so why not the Ultima? Or has someone upset them?

Probably because they've not had the chance to get a GTR on track yet...don't think they've been using the West Circuit in its current guise all that long, and Ultima articles tend to follow new developments. Last one in Evo was a road feature with a GTR 640 on the Isle of Man TT course if memory serves (it's on the factory website)...so they're definitely due some time in a 720! I've been an avid Evo reader (and Ultima fan) for a while; they've always been complimentary about Ults. I'd love to see more in there - maybe with a vid too as they seem to be getting good at those! Someone with a 720 or LS7-powered car write to Evo!
