A few question for you experts out there!

1. My JS supplied LS7 has -12 oil ports on the opposing side of the engine to the dry sump tank.

...So I would have to run the -12 piping all around the engine. Would it be better to get one of those filter body adaptors to reposition the lines maybe with a remote filter, and blank off the other side?
No idea on the internals so advice would be welcome!

2. Also on the existing filter body I see that JS has fitted a threaded port just above that he says is for a pressure sensor - great, yet he goes on to say it is 1/8th NPT and I understand that the pressure sensors I have are 1/8th BSP???

3. On the subject of sensors, does anyone know the best place (mabe there is one already but I have not found it yet)to fit the temperature sensor on the engine:

For the oil

For the water ?

Is ther a std place for these on the LS7?

cheers

Ok, not claiming to be an expert, but the following relates to my LS7 install, with teh Ultima tank, lines, cooler etc.

1. 2 in number -12 sump fittings. One is sending oil from scavenge pump (which is pulling it out of the sump itself) to the top of dry sump tank (via oil stat/ cooler) The other is oil feed from bottom of dry sump tank which supplies the pressure pump. So, yes you have to run the lines under the front section of the actual engine sump to the tank. Not sure what you mean about blanking off??

2. Not sure exactly what fittings you have - certainly I should think JS will be NPT so you'll need to match to that.

3. Fitted my oil temp sensor on the bottom of the dry sump tank. Water temp sender (which only feeds my dash) is fitted to the right hand cylinder head at the rear right side (the equivalent to the position where the LS7 stock water sender is on the front left of the left cylinder head).

I'll PM some pics of specifics if you wish.
Cheers
Paul
