fitting rear section
Discussion
Need some help with fitting the rear section. I had the factory do the body prefit and the alignment of the rear end is pretty nice, but the rear won't latch. The latches looked lined up but the rear section won't push down far enough to latch. What is the best way to adjust the body? Is it better to move the latches on the rear down or the catches on the center section up?
Also on the rear where it bolts to the frame what is the order of hardware. Is it the bolt, washer, rose joint, washer, body, washer, lock nut. What are mm are the nuts, I think I misplaced them.
Thanks,
Mark

I found that the factory latch positions are pretty good. You may need to raise the rear a little to get it to latch down correctly.
Have you cut down the body buffers? As supplied they are about 6mm thick which is way too much. They should be about 3mm or so thick.

I didn't have the washers for that so I just have a washer between the rosejoint and the body. Should be no problems with what you are proposing. It's fiddle to fit the rear with all the grills in place...
The bolts are 3/4" UNF I think.
Another thought, have you put the engine in yet?
Had mine all lined up and all the shut lines even.
I then put the engine in and it no longer fits. The flex of the chassis is probably just enough to upset the fine alignment so I am leaving mine until all is complete.
The bolts will need various washers to move the cover side to side for alignment. I'm going to use the packing washers on one hinge bolt only so's not to stress the body. The other side will just have the bolt and locknut leaving the body to sit where it likes along the bolt.
