chassis dolly for sale

interesting comments ...
so assuming that you have to buy stock steel and wheels, and charge some reasonable labour, what do you estimate a wheeled dolly, according to the established spec, that dismantles into manageable parts, and is delivered to the customer, could be built for?
as to giving one away, I wish you had said something earlier.
my view is that if someone wants to build an ultima, they obviously have enough money to buy or commission a decent dolly, which is what I did, without having to hire welding and cutting kit.

Steve - I gave mine away for a crate of Stella (ps. Dom - have you actually drilled any rivets yet?
)
Scooter - all up cost for building mine was about 50 quid. The most expensive bit was the hammerite!
I did get the stock as 'a favour' though.
That said, you could definitely build one for 100 notes I reckon.

Seems to be a glut of dollies around at the moment.
Ended up taking mine up the scrap yard a couple of weeks ago, minus the wheels.
Mine cost nothing to build. Got the wheels off a heavy duty trolly (6")
The box iron I had already and I could'nt see the point in painting it, just wiped the grease off with some petrol.
